Strand Hotel is located right in the city centre with the city's best view. Both the roof terrace and several rooms offer a view of the attractions: the fishmarket, Bryggen, Vagen and Floien. The hotel has been completely refurbished during the last few years and now presents itself as a modern first class business hotel. The hotel has such a long history. The hotel building was completed in the late 1920'ies and consisted originally of two separate hotels, "FÃ¸nix Hotel" and "City Hotel". Both hotels was purchased in 1969 by Mr. Ole Jorgen Strand, and have since been operated as one hotel under the name of Strand.Distance to airport, 22 km.

Attraction Info:	Local Attractions - Bergen is full of history and tradition, with the charm and atmosphere of a small town. Attractions include: Experience Floybanen - the Funicular - it takes you 7 minutes to a panorama view over Bergen, Bryggen in Bergen - part of the cultural heritage and included on Unesco's World Heritage List, the old Wharf of Bergen, the fish market - known for the atmosphere and all the specialities, Bergen Aquarium, Hakon's Hall and a number of museums and art collections. Area Airports:	Bergen Lufthavn Flesland (BGO) - approx 22km / 14 miles from the hotel.
Driving Directions:	- Bergen Airport Flesland - Via shuttle service: Please take one of the Airport buses leaving for downtown frequently. (depart every 20-30 minutes / taking approx 35-40 minutes). Please exit at the tourist office and cross the first street to your left. Please walk about 100 metres in the street of Strandkaien for Strandkaien 2B.
Restaurants:	- Femte I Andre Bar - A first class bar with an intimate atmosphere. Very popular amongst the citys inhabitants as well as the hotel guests. A wide variety of different brands especially Cognac and Whiskey. The bar is open from 1800-0100hrs (Closed on Sunday's). Maximum seating capacity for 90 guests.: - Restaurant Info - The hotel has a breakfast room which is located on the 1st floor, Buffet breakfast is available for guests each morning. Free coffee/tea is available 24hrs in the breakfast room. Free waffles are available every afternoon from 4pm-6pm also served in the breakfast room. The hotel does not have their own restaurant, however they recommend a restaurant which is located within 1/2 minute walk away. The restaurant is called the Lido restaurant and is very well known located in the very heart of the city.:
